Meet Our CEO

Rachita Johnson

I live by the belief that "all things are possible with God." As a single mother of two boys—one of whom has a disability—I know firsthand the challenges and triumphs that come with faith, perseverance, and love. My journey has been one of incredible resilience, marked by both heartbreak and hope.

Growing up, I was an energetic girl with a sassy personality that could brighten anyone’s day. My great-grandfather lovingly nicknamed me “Sunshine” for this very reason. I was smart, outspoken, and always had a lot to say, especially when it came to justice. I excelled in school and seemed to have a bright future ahead. Raised in a strict Christian home, I was taught to trust in God and believe in myself.

However, everything changed when I went away to college. I found myself in a world I wasn’t familiar with and ended up in a relationship with the wrong guy. My world shattered when I was raped, and the vibrant, outspoken girl known as "Sunshine" faded into a shadow of herself. In the midst of this pain, I met another man at church and soon found myself pregnant at 18. I dropped out of college and married, embracing my new role as a young wife and mother.

Life threw me a curveball when my firstborn child passed away at just two years old. The grief was overwhelming, and the pain of losing my child is something I still carry with me. But I kept my faith and was blessed with another son, who was born with a rare disability called NGY1. I loved him fiercely, but the strain on my marriage was too much, and it eventually ended, leaving me a single mom to my special little boy.

Later, I welcomed another child into my life and found myself married for the second time. I was hopeful, but this marriage also ended in divorce, leaving me a single mom to two boys. Life seemed like a series of detours, but deep down, I knew my circumstances did not define me. I was determined to get back on track with the vision God had for my life.

I decided to embrace my faith and inner strength, returning to school to earn my bachelor’s degree. I continued my education and achieved an MBA. I’ve always been a natural storyteller, so I authored a children’s book titled, "My Brother Quentin" to help my younger son understand his brother's disability while also hoping to inspire young readers to be kind and inclusive.

I founded the Mom Pro Network, a platform designed to support single mothers on their journey to greatness. Reflecting on my own experiences, I realized I didn’t have a network of support during my toughest times. This inspired me to create a community where single moms can find the encouragement and tools they need to thrive. I've always had a gift for teaching. Even as a child, you could find me gathering my sister, cousins, church friends—anyone who would listen—and teaching them. Whether it was in a classroom setting or a Bible study group, I found joy in sharing knowledge and uplifting others. This passion later birthed Mom Pro Academy.

My story is one of resilience, strength, and faith. I have faced more than my share of hardships, but I’ve never lost sight of my belief that with God, all things are possible. My life is a testament to the power of perseverance, and I hope to be a guiding light, not just for my sons, but for countless single mothers who need a reminder that their dreams are within reach.
